Touchy Subject Ahead!
Since I'm taking AP Environmental Science, the global warming discussion often comes up.
However, I am not here to sway you to one side or the other.
I just have one thing to ask:
Whether or not global warming is happening, what will it hurt to alter our lifestyles a little?
If climate change is happening, then maybe we can lessen the blow.
If it is not, then we can prevent something like it from happening any time soon.
Is this something we can all agree on or do you think "going green" is a waste of time?

What is the most inspiring book you've ever read?
It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini
Not only is the book itself inspiring, but when I read this book, I was going through almost the exact same thing as the main character.
Feeling like a loser, going to a school full of overachievers, the works.
Honestly, the whole novel just made me feel like no matter what, there's always hope.
Regardless of what people have done to you or what you have done to yourself, it's never too late to get a new start.
I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!

A Glimpse into my 15-Year-Old Mind
Recently, I've been reading over old Myspace and Facebook blog entries to see how much I've changed in such a short time.
As I was going through them today, I found an entry I had completely forgotten about:
Title: The most important thing I've learned from movies--
Date: July 12, 2008
WARNING!
Sarcasm Ahead. Watch your step.
all you have to do to make an "ugly" girl pretty is:
1.) give her some new garb (preferably bordering on skanktastic)
2.) straighten her hair.
3.) take off her glasses and give her some contacts.
**bonus**
it turns out that the HOTT (yes, with the double T!) guy she had her eye on liked her all along. He just didn't talk to her until she became HOTT also, but he totally liked her for her personality...even though he never talked to her for more than 2 minutes, but that's okay. Know why? Because they're going to kiss in the rain or in a pool or some type of moisture and declare their love for each other.
gotta love teen movies
:DD
I honestly do not remember writing anything like this.
It's funny how easy we forget.
I think if I met younger me, I think I'd tell her that she's a lot less lame and awkward than she thinks she is.

Why I Xanga
I scoured the lunchroom for my friends.
Okay, done.
I can see that they're all huddled over some random girl's iPhone.
I wonder what it is this time: a new video, game, random app?
As I get closer, I can see exactly what it is, and everything inside me wants to groan.
It's a picture of Taylor Lautner, shirtless.
Whatever. I could deal with the squeals of "He's so HOT!" for a few minutes.
However, this random girl begins to zoom in and search around the picture.
More squeals.
Okay. A few more minutes can't hurt.
Before I know what's going on, lunch is almost over.
As some of the girls continue to talk about Taylor's "rockin' bod", another girl at the table and I make eye contact.
Both of us are screaming in our heads, "You have GOT to be kidding me!"
Sure, it only lasted a few seconds, but it's how I feel every time I log onto this site.
Even if it's only for a few minutes, when I'm on Xanga, I don't feel like some weird freak who likes to ponder books instead of boys.
Of course, not that many people really care much about what I have to say on here, but for some reason, that kind of stuff just doesn't matter.
For a brief time in my day, I know I'm not alone, and
that's enough :)
